How Your Contributions Work
The annual budget of the North Country Chamber Players approximates $110,000 for which the residents and visitors of the North Country receive:
Allen Blustine Giving a Private Clarinet Lesson
- Five-week Summer Festival with two outstanding concerts each week, FREE open rehearsals, informative lectures on composers and concerts.
- Private lessons and Master classes for aspiring musicians of all ages.
- Fall and Winter concerts, with Spring concerts when funds are available.
- Award-winning in-school programs to introduce classical music to area children as well as Free Summer Children’s Concerts.
- Up-close and personal interaction with the Chamber Players in community and individual settings.
Income from box office and concert fees only provides about 33% of our operating funds. We must make up 2/3 of our funding through grants and contributions. We regularly search and apply for available grants from foundations and government entities, and they typically provide about 17% of our operating budget. But we rely heavily on contributions from individuals and businesses for the other half of our annual operating funds. Support from people like you is the "heart and soul" of funding for the North Country Chamber Players.
